The cottage sits on a flat lakeside plot with a child-friendly sandy beach and a private boat on Lake Vekuri. Inside, the open living area, sauna, and covered terrace make it easy to settle in, while the owners’ 100-hectare lands add room for jogging, snowmobiling, berry picking, and forest walks. You also have access to a shared disc golf course and nearby fishing waters.
This cottage sits on the shore of Lake Vekuri, about 75 km north of Tampere and 33 km from Himos. Built in 2018, it offers a modern base for a lakeside stay, with a flat plot and a shallow sandy beach that suits children well.
Inside, the cottage has a combined kitchen and living room, an open living area with a sofa bed, and a dining area for shared meals. There are two bedrooms, a bathroom, two toilets, and a dressing room with an extra sofa bed. In the yard, an electrified wooden outbuilding adds two more beds in the warmer season, from around early April to late October.
The lakeside sauna is a highlight, and the covered terrace gives you a sheltered place to sit outside after a swim or a day on the water. Lake Vekuri is shallow with a firm sandy bottom, and a private boat is included. Outboard motors are not allowed on the lake, which keeps the setting calm and quiet.
Beyond the shoreline, the owners’ lands stretch across 100 hectares with forest roads and paths for jogging, areas for snowmobiling, and good spots for berry and mushroom picking. You can also fish at nearby Lake Eväjärvi, play disc golf on the shared 10-hole course, or head out to Isojärvi National Park and the services in Himos and nearby Jämsä.
