This cabin sits in Jämsä, in the Himos area, just 25 metres from Lake Kankarisvesi. The lake has a shallow, sandy bottom and a family-friendly shoreline, and the cabin comes with its own boat for easy days on the water.
Inside, the 1991 log cabin has a kitchen, a living room with two extra beds, one bedroom with a double bed and another with bunk beds. There is also a dressing room, a WC, and a sauna with shower access through the veranda. An air-source heat pump adds extra heating and cooling, and the open veranda gives you a simple place to sit outside.
For an extra fee, you can rent a movable hot tub from the owner, shared between four cottages. It needs to be booked in advance, the owner fills, empties and cleans it, and you heat it yourself following the given instructions. In very cold winter weather, the tub cannot be rented.
Outdoors, the area offers good hiking, mushroom and berry forests, and maintained ski trails in winter. A cot and high chair are available on request, pets are welcome for an extra fee, and there is an outdoor power point for the car.
