There are two saunas: one inside the cabin with an electric sauna stove, and another wood-burning lakeside sauna in a separate building by the lake. The lakeside sauna has a hot tub that is rented separately.
In the surrounding area, you can hike the Karhunkierros routes, visit the nearby Kitkajoki rapids, and walk to Myllykoski, Aallokkokoski, and Jyrävä. In winter, the area is suitable for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing on Lake Alajuumajärvi.
Summer brings rowing, fishing, berry picking, and the chance to barbecue or smoke fish on the terrace. The shared cooking hut in the area is available for excursions, and the wilderness setting offers a bright night sky with stars and northern lights.
