The cottage sits in a fantastic spot by the bay in Småland, just 50 metres from the water and looking out across Kalmar Sound. Inside, the living room is spacious and bright, with large windows framing the view and a wood-burning stove adding a cosy centre to the house. The kitchen is open to the living area, so the home feels easy and social.
On warm days, the veranda is the place to linger through sunny afternoons and soft summer evenings. A boat and canoe are included and moored at the pier close to the house, making it easy to get out on the water. By the pier, a boathouse sauna gives you another way to enjoy the setting, with the bay in front of you.
You can swim nearby, look for edible mushrooms, and head out on hiking trails or mountain bike routes in the area. Kalmar is only 20 kilometres away, with its history, summer atmosphere, castle, and museum, and you can also make day trips to Öland, Västervik, Astrid Lindgren's Värld, and Glasriket.
