Rosenvik, also known as Emil's house, is a charming 19th-century cottage in the small Småland village of Bredvik, outside Vimmerby. Inside, the house feels light and fresh, with a Scandinavian interior that keeps the character of an old farmhouse while giving you modern comfort for an easy family stay.
The glazed veranda is a lovely spot for morning coffee with views of the garden, and the large south-facing terrace invites long sunny afternoons with a book. Outside, the garden furniture and barbecue set the scene for relaxed evenings under the apple trees, while the large lawn and football goals give children plenty of space to play.
The cottage sits near a lake for swimming, bathing, and fishing, and marked hiking trails begin just 50 metres away. You can also pick blueberries and chanterelles in the surrounding area. For day trips, visit the glass kingdom to watch glassblowers at work, explore Oskarshamn's archipelago, or head to Katthult and Bullerbyn, both linked to Astrid Lindgren's films. Vimmerby Adventure Park and Virum Moose Park are also within easy reach.
