This cottage is an independent and undisturbed part of a two-family house on the Åkrafjord, set in a quiet spot with open water views and a strong sense of privacy. The cottage has its own jetty, and the fjord is known for good fishing, so days here naturally move between the water and the shore.
Inside, the cottage offers a practical living space with a kitchen-living room, wood-burning stove, and room for relaxed family time. Outside, you have a terrace, garden furniture, barbecue, and space for simple outdoor living. There is also table tennis and other shared leisure options in the area, making it easy to keep both children and adults entertained.
The setting is made for nature days. Hiking trails are nearby, and you are within easy reach of Rosendal, the Folgefonn center, and Folgefonna National Park in Sundal. Boat trips on the Åkrafjord to Langfossen waterfall add a memorable outing, while the Hardangerfjord area opens up scenic drives and national tourist routes. In winter, Fjellhaugen ski center is about 30 minutes away.
Fishing is available from May to September, and no fishing licence is required. A boat with engine can be hired, and the owner can also lend a crib if needed.
