Inside there is a living room with a convertible sofa, a kitchen, one bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with two beds, and two lofts with mattresses. The cabin has a heat-storing fireplace, electric heating, electric lighting, a refrigerator and freezer, an electric hob and oven, a microwave oven, shower and toilet.
A wood-heated sauna is located in the same building. There is also another sauna by the shore, and on request a smoke sauna can be heated. The beach, lakeside sauna, smoke sauna and barbecue shelters are in shared use with another cabin.
Lake Kitkajärvi is known for its small vendace and brown trout, and the shoreline by the cabin is described as a good place to catch trout. The cabin rent includes a lure fishing permit and a permit for five nets for the lake waters on the Kuusamo side, and a trolling permit for the whole lake is available.
Nearby are the services of Ruka ski resort and the ski tracks in Kirintövaara ski center. Both places can also be reached in winter by snowmobile route. Hunting is possible on the grounds of the local hunting association.
